Who is Jenn Taranto?

I met Jenn Taranto several years ago at the Alewife T station in Cambridge, Massachusetts one morning, and was immediately taken with her voice and her look. I took one of her postcards, and later that day sent her an email asking if she would allow me to photograph her. She graciously agreed.

Over the course of several sessions--in my studio and on location at The Lizard Lounge in Cambridge--Jenn became my temporary “muse,” helping me transform my photography into something more natural, more organic and spontaneous. These portraits continue to influence my current style, especially my senior portraits.
